Yet Another Set of Book Hauls!

I don’t think it’s even accurate to call this one a “quarantine book haul” by now. I’ve spent the majority of the past year going to work as usual, and most things in my area are opening back up. I’ve even been able to go to a couple of restaurants and eat on the patio! It’s so weird to think that going to a restaurant would be a nerve-wracking thing to do. Even though it’s outdoors, I’m really not used to being around that many people at once anymore, aside from the people I work with. I’m trying to get up the courage to go to a movie because I’d love to see Black Widow, but the idea of sitting so long in one place with other people still feels a bit uncomfortable. I hate saying that because it feels so stupid, but given all the media surrounding the Delta variant currently, it’s hard not to be at least a little nervous. My local library is now open and probably has been for quite a while, actually, but I still haven’t been brave enough to go. Instead, I’ve just been buying a ton more books! I think this is probably one of my “smaller” book hauls so far this year, but I have a bunch more books on their way so I thought I’d take the picture now before it gets too out of hand.

This first photo is a combination of several different Book Outlet orders. I was especially happy to find Goodnight Beautiful by Aimee Molloy finally come in, since that’s one of my most anticipated books and for some reason, it was extremely expensive everywhere else!

This second photo combines several orders from Indigo, except for The Last Time I Lied (on top) which was from AbeBooks. It actually took me two tries to get a copy of that one! The first time, it seems to have been lost in the mail, but the company was great about resolving the problem immediately. Luckily, I was able to find another affordable copy from a different seller on the site, and that one came within the week! Come to think of it, I’m just realizing now that Time of Our Lives is in the wrong picture since that was actually from Book Outlet too, but too late now to fix it!

I’m not sure I’ve ever linked my Instagram before, but if anyone wants to see more of my books please check out my Instagram @rachelslibrary7 I post every time I start reading a new book for my reading challenges, so if you want to see what I’m currently reading, check it out over there.
