Top 10 Tuesdays: Freebie (Books I’m Excited to Get From BOTM)

I am so excited that Book of the Month club has finally come to Canada! Just to be clear upfront, I am not sponsored or affiliated with BOTM in any way, just happy to have it as another option to buy books. For over a year now, I’ve been jealous every single time I saw the vloggers I follow talking about the BOTM options and showing off the books because there was always at least one that I wanted to get. This year, we finally got the announcement that they were opening up to shipping to Canada as well, and I immediately signed up to be notified when! The only real concern I had was what the cots was going to be since new hardcovers are already so expensive, and so is shipping. Luckily, they seem to have settled on a pretty reasonable price. The selection of the month (a choice of 1 of 5 options) is around $25, and you also have the option to add up to two more books as add-ons for $15 each. Best of all, shipping is free! Even though $25 is still a tiny bit more than I like to pay for my books, it’s much less expensive than buying the same hardcover book in stores, and when you factor in the add-ons, an order of 3 books averages out to about $18 per book, which is very reasonable! It also sometimes gives early access to upcoming releases, which means I don’t have to wait 6 months to a year for the books to drop in price elsewhere to be more affordable. Even if I had the money for it, I just don’t want to pay $35 – $40 for a single book, which is what they are going for on Amazon and Indigo. In October, I was offered an early access deal to get any book I wanted for just $5 so I quickly took advantage of that, followed by two monthly boxes so far. However, there are still so many books they have that I want to get! I will definitely be taking advantage of the add-ons as much as I can. For this week’s freebie topic, I decided to make it a bit of a wishlist and show some of the books they have on BOTM that I’m hoping to get as soon as I can!

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
